Strategic Antiracism

Systemic racism is a reality with negative effects on people of color. It is not enough to NOT be racist.

You want to make your workplace feel like everyone belongs, that they matter and are valued for who they are. You also know that in order to get there, it has to be part of your culture and changing culture is challenging.

Our Strategic Antiracism course will bring the topic into focus for you and your teams.

The Strategic Antiracism course is:

  • three hours

  • virtual

  • interactive

  • stand-alone module

The virtual, interactive seminar demonstrates tools and strategies for evolving from an inactive stance regarding racism to an active, antiracist approach. We meet your team where they are now, help them assess their current awareness and activity and then assist in creating a map to where each team wants and needs to be.

“You don’t need to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it’s the only way forward.”

-Ijeoma Oluo

Some topics the seminar will cover:

  • how racist behavior, micro-aggressions, and unconscious bias in the workplace
    perpetuate inequitable treatment
  • discussions on active opposition to racism
  • identification of obstacles to antiracist
action and strategies for overcoming them
  • developing a plan for actively engaging in
    antiracist activities
  • establishing parameters for accountability

Confronting and dealing with systemic racism in your workplace is uncomfortable but necessary. It is not an event, it is a journey that is integral to the fabric of your organization and must be woven into the values and mission of your organization.

We are making this program available to business leaders who know that it’s time to stand up and take action against the policies and prejudices that perpetuate racism.

By giving your teams the time and space to explore the topic of becoming antiracist, you are encouraging them to acknowledge the differences, affirm these differences and actively create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong – which is the ultimate goal.

Getting to that goal is an incremental process of steps and missteps that will bring your organization closer to truly being diverse, equitable and inclusive.

When you are ready to start the journey for your people and your organization, reach out to us to schedule the Strategic Antiracism course, or to get more information.
